Mardi Gras, also known as Fat Tuesday, takes place on the day before Ash Wednesday with a date range between February 3rd and March 9th. No matter the date, it’s the last party before the start of Lent. After that, it’s a long 40 days of fasting between Ash Wednesday and Easter Sunday. Not surprisingly, Mardi Gras is full of fun, celebration, and a bit of debauchery. So drink up and be merry on Mardi Gras as it could be a while before the next big party on St. Patrick’s Day (depending upon the year).
