I wrote a blog post yesterday about the Contract Codes we use in trading the futures markets. Shortly after publishing the post, a client emailed me, asking which contracts we were trading for our systems in our premium service. I’m excited to share that our website has a dedicated page that lists the precise contract for each market we trade.
Menu Navigation:
To access the current contract codes, navigate to the main menu, click Signals, and select Contract Codes.Â
Contract Code Review:
If you’re new to trading futures markets, it’s essential to understand the contract code, which is composed of three sections the Market Symbol, Contract Month Code, and Contract Year. For example, the current contract code for the S&P 500 is the ESM23, with:
Â
- Market Symbol:Â ES for S&P 500
- Contract Month:Â M for June
- Contract Year:Â 23 for 2023
Â
By familiarizing yourself with the Contract Code page, you can track the specific contract traded for each market. This information is critical as the roll period approaches. We recommend regularly checking our Contract Code page to stay up-to-date with the latest contract. This page is updated daily, ensuring you’re always in the loop.Â
