Watch List #17: Extreme Markets
Watch List #17 monitors markets that are currently in strong trending phases and have recently been in overbought (OB) or oversold (OS) territory for an extended period of time. The trading premise is simple; strong trending markets with above average Elastic levels are potential candidates to go exponentially higher or lower over the short term. Chances are these markets will simply burn out and reverse back to normal OB/OS levels … but sometimes they can catch fire and move to extreme levels. It should be noted these markets are not currently in extreme territory they simple have the opportunity to move into extreme territory on the upside or downside. Pay close attention to markets highlighted as focus markets, as they offer the best opportunities moving forward.
Watch List #17 is divided into two main sections; Focus and Bias
- Focus: New markets (long or short) recently added to the Watch List which offer potential near-term trading opportunities.
- Bias: Existing markets (long or short) that have been on the Watch List for awhile and offer no new call to action.
