Drawdown Comparison:

Drawdown is a measure of risk, but it can have many different definitions. In this case, we measure current drawdowns, also known as open drawdown, as percent loss from the most recent weekly equity high. Once a market makes a new equity high the starting point for the next drawdown phase will be based on the markets new current closing high value. A quick look at the chart below will indicate which Currency markets are currently experiencing larger or smaller drawdowns relative to the S&P 500 Index.

Definitions:

  • Current Drawdown measures the percent retracement form the most recent weekly equity high.
